View course details →What the levels mean
Level describes the demand of the study.
Qualification levels come from the Regulated Qualifications Framework, which is how qualifications in England are compared with each other.
Level 4 sits at roughly the standard of the first year of a degree or a higher apprenticeship. Level 5 sits at roughly the standard of a foundation degree or the second year of a degree. The level describes how demanding the study is, not how long it takes.
Subject areas
Civil engineering first.
Civil engineering is our first subject area. We add further subjects only once TQUK approval for each qualification is in place, so this list grows deliberately.
Common questions
Before you enquire
Do I need an engineering degree to apply?
No. Entry requirements are set for each qualification by the awarding organisation and confirmed for you individually. Site and technical experience is welcome.
Who awards the qualification?
Training Qualifications UK (TQUK), an awarding organisation recognised by Ofqual under reference RN 5355. Continuing Education is the recognised centre that delivers and assesses it.
How much does it cost?
We confirm fees in writing when you enquire, so you have the full figure before you decide.
I am outside the UK. Where do I apply?
Learners from outside the UK are welcome. Contact us and we will explain how you can study from your country. See where you can study.
